How to edit images for reason "Soft"? Please help folks..

It means the images lack the sharpening. Use the "Unsharpen Mask" feature under Filter -> Sharpen. Apply the necessary sharpening only. Do not oversharpen as it will cause jaggies on the image.

Picasa, Photoshop and Corel draw. But more of picasa.

Kindly use Photoshop to edit your images. Also if you shoot RAW, you have all chances to make ur images look better given the control PS offers.
