Hello everyone,

I'm not sure if this goes here but I will try anyway.

I am the proud owner of a Dell Ultrasharp U2410 monitor and I've somewhat of a problem with it. Well not with the monitor itself but more with the way the colours of my edited photos are seen on other monitors.

As I edited some photos from a recent day at AMS. I send them to my spotting mate and he said the colours were way off.

The question is: Which should I believe? The colours on my Dell or the expert opinion of my spotting mate who edits on a Samsung SyncMaster 931BW?

Regards,

Twan

Hi Twan,

We can't give an opinion on how your monitor looks as we can't see it, but we can certainly tell you whether the colours in the images are accurate or not if you post a few examples. :)

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your reply. I know you can't judge anything without seeing some examples :) I was just wondering if the money I put down for my Dell monitor was reason enough to believe it was more accurate in displaying colours than cheaper models.

I will upload some of my latest edits to the queue.

I also got a colour profile from the TFTcentral database and installed that and the colours are really looking great when viewing pictures from the database. So I am almost positive that my monitor is correct. Do you guys know of any way to calibrate it without expensive software?

Regards,

Twan

Hi again,

Thank you for the extensive screening Paul! You really helped me out, again! :D

I'm sorry I used the main queue for the test photos. It wasn't my best editing hence the dust marks
In the future I will use the forum for this purpose.

I really like the personal touch and your extensive service :) It's really appreciated!

Twan
